Sharper Video Encoding for PSP

Shamo42 has perfected a method of encoding video for PSP that produces a much sharper image. We gave it a test, and the results are impressive :

The drawback is that it takes twice as long, since the video has to be re-encoded using VirtualDubMod.

Xbox Pulled from Retailers?

Spong claims that retailers will be pulling the Xbox over the coming months, making room for the arrival of the Xbox 2 – expected sometime around Christmas 2005.

Sony Cancels Playstation 3 Briefing

Gamespot is reporting that Sony have cancelled a press briefing for the Playstation 3 that had been planned to take place in Japan, prior to the machine’s unveiling at E3.

PSP Web Browser discovered in Wipeout Pure

Barely days after the official US PSP launch, Roto from the ps2dev.org forum has hacked Wipeout Pure’s web browser allowing it to view regular pages and search Google.
