Unannounced Alien Breed title for PSP

Posted April 29th, 2005

Apparently Team 17 are hard at work on an update of their 1991 Amiga classic Alien Breed for the PSP. Back in 2003, the studio had been planning Alien Breed 2k4 as a PS2 title (pictured) but it ended up being canned due to lack of publisher interest. If shots of the PS2 version are [...]

The Woodcube

Posted April 27th, 2005

Check out Robert Edström’s monstrous creation, the Woodcube. It’s basically a SNES, Playstation and N64, all lovingly crammed into a single wooden box – ghetto style. This “unique piece of gaming history” is up for auction over at Ebay.se. See more photos of it here.

Posted April 24th, 2005

Sure, the Quantaray Aluminium Carrying Case isn’t designed for the PSP (the reviewer found it in a digital camera shop), and it’s not exactly practical – but at $29, it’s the only way to go if you’re after the ultimate in PSP protection!

Another Xbox 360 Image Surfaces

Posted April 22nd, 2005

Unless this is somehow a clever decoy from Microsoft (unlikely at this point), it looks like this picture pretty much confirms the design of the Xbox 360.
The top/side of this unit appears to be the hard drive slot, squint and you’ll notice “40GB” engraved on the black panel. Also check out the arrow on [...]

Posted April 21st, 2005

TeamXbox.com has noticed a listing on the EBGames site that would suggest a sequel to Ninja Gaiden is in the works, presumably as launch title for the Xbox 360.

LiquidIce from the ps2dev.org forums has posted photos of a custom controller page he’s created for his PSP. Accessing it from within the Wipeout Pure browser effectively turns it into a multifunctional remote, allowing him to control his DVD player, TIVO and HDTV (even turn out the lights) all wirelessly from the PSP.
From his post:
I [...]

Doom Movie Delayed

Posted April 14th, 2005

The upcoming Doom movie expected in June has officially been delayed until October, according to bloody-disgusting.com.
It also appears the filmmakers are trying to insult fans of the franchise with “minor” changes to the script. The movie no longer takes place on Mars, the Space Marines have been replaced by a Special Ops squad, and [...]

Far Cry: Instincts for September

Posted April 14th, 2005

The refined console version of Far Cry will be making an appearance at this year’s E3, and should be available to buy in September. Among the added features are extra levels, weapons and vehicles, as well as in-game cutscenes instead of FMV. Hopefully they’ll sort out the multiplayer too – this would be great on [...]
