Newell supposedly packed his bags at Valve, opting for a life on the road with his 3 piece folk-rock band, Left of the Dealer.
“It wasn’t because of any conflicts at Valve — they’re a great team. And don’t get me wrong, I love making games. But there’s a ton of creativity I’m just not able to express unless I’m with my guitar.”

Featuring a 300MHz G4 processor, 512 MB of RAM, 32 MB of dedicated video RAM and a 2 GB hard drive, gPod will have more than enough power to run the latest in contemporary video games.”
Epic Games Announces Unreal III: Slug Saga
“Epic Games has announced today the latest highly-anticipated sequel in the popular Unreal franchise - Unreal 3: Slug Saga - The Adventures of Ne’ban! The highly-anticipated Unreal 3 takes gamers into the mysterious past of their favorite royal alien parasite inside the body of a giant slug.”

The Rock to Star in Katamari Damacy Movie
Directed by John Woo, and possibly starring John Travolta as the King of All Cosmos -
“Katamari Damacy the movie will see the Prince taking on a much more action-oriented role. Instead of using his ever-growing ball to pick up innocuous objects, like candy, chairs, and trees, he will use it to absorb bullets and crush his enemies. In one climactic slow-motion scene inside a church, the sphere becomes a 50-foot-wide mass of assault weapons, flaming debris, and writhing henchmen who are caught up in its path. “Some aspects of the story changed in the adaptation process,” Woo told the Reporter.”
