Microsoft have announced that on May 12/13th, MTV will be airing a half-hour special called “MTV Presents: The Next Generation Xbox Revealed”, hosted by Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood. Apart from the unveiling of the console itself, the broadcast will include footage of upcoming games and demonstrate some new features that are planned for Xbox Live.

Referring to E3, Peter Moore (Vice President of Xbox Marketing) had this to say:

“It doesn’t make sense to unveil the product behind a closed door, at a trade-only event. We wanted to talk directly to the consumer first.”
