Koolance’s Xbox 360 Water Cooling Kit
June 28th, 2006 by Pugwash | Mods, Xbox 360
Koolance seems to think theres actually someone out there who’s gonna be willing to shell out as much on cooling their treasured 360 as they spent on the actual console.
Priced at a whopping $394.99 US, This self-install watercooling unit (available in silver or black) features Koolance’s "Exos-LT" cooling system, CPU and GPU liquid blocks, an AC power adapter, and mounting hardware for the Xbox console.
Installation isn’t going to be plain sailing either. Koolance are quick to point that the process is "not for the faint of heart".
Although minimal changes are actually required for the XBox, it can be a labor-intensive task that should only be attempted by experienced individuals. Any manufacturer warranty on the Xbox 360 is voided by installing or using this product.
Just to make things a bit more interesting Koolance doesn’t provide any proprietary instructions for disassembling or modifying the Xbox, nor for attaching the cooling components to the console – Though they have been kind enough to make little pictures of what the finished product should look like.
