Developers Shun PS3?

It has been announced that there are two publishers that are not going to support the PS3 at launch or for a while after at least. According to GameCentral, Atari have stated that they don’t intend to publish any PS3 games until at least 2007.

Developers Shun PS3?

This could have meant no new Driver game for the PS3, but as the rights have been recently sold to Ubisoft fans of the series don’t need to worry. In fact the only up and coming game that will be of any loss to PS3 owners, will be Test Drive Unlimited, but Atari could change their mind and release it at a later date for the PS3, if we are lucky!

More strangely, SNK Playmore has said that in won’t make any PS3 games until possibly 2010;

“we have to invest in a new system, and the PS3 is a risk.”

Unless you are really hoping for PS3 versions of King of Fighters and Metal Slug, there is nothing to worry about there either. You can always play the versions on older machines anyway, after all, SNK games have never been known for their graphical might have they?
