Electronic Arts confirmed today that the next edition of NBA street will hit store shelves next spring. However, the title will not be released for any current-gen systems. It will only be released for the Microsoft Xbox 360 and the Sony PlayStation 3.

"The power of the next-generation hardware gives us the horsepower to break new ground for consumers, making it the perfect stage for the next iteration of NBA Street," said Wil Mozell, executive producer of the game.

Details on the game are scarce, but EA’s official description reads, "The newest iteration of NBA Street creates a hyper-real world that merges legendary courts with the hometown courts of your favorite NBA stars into one seamless city of streetball moments."
