Resistance: Fall Of Man Over 22GB

Boomtown.net is reporting that Insomniac Games upcoming PlayStation 3 shooter, Resistance: Fall of Man, will take up a staggering 22GB of disk space. Insomniac Games Ryan Schneider said:
"Thanks to high-res graphics and orchestral music, the game currently takes up 22 Gigabytes of memory on a Blu-Ray disc, We’re going to fit more on a Blu-ray disc than you could on an HD DVD."
Of course, 22 Gigabytes is a huge amount of disk space to take up, even for next-gen titles, and was clearly mentioned to try and point out that the 50GB of space that Blu-ray disks offer is something which next-gen titles will require.
As Boomtown rightly puts it: "Take away HD cutscenes and uncompressed sound and textures, how much of the game do you think they couldn’t easily get on a 9GB DVD9 disk?"
