EA Announce FIFA 07

EA have announced the release date of the next Fifa game. Fifa 07 will be released on September 29th on PS2, PC, GameCube, GBA, DS, Xbox and Mobile. The Xbox 360 version is set to follow soon after, but this is not yet confirmed.

Splinter Cell Double Agent Dated

An official post on Ubisoft’s message boards states that Splinter Cell Double Agent will be released on October 19, 2006. Wii’s Price is $299.99?

7-11’s new Slurpee promotion has a Nintendo Wii as one of the prizes, but interestingly enough, the promotion website lists it as an approximate retail price of $299.99. Now this tidbit goes against Nintendo’s statements of a price tag under $250.

EA Closes Game Servers

PS3 Can Read PS2 & PS1 Gamesaves

Sony’s official PS3 FAQ confirms that the PS3 will be able to use old gamesaves from the PS2 and PS1 via a special adaptor.
Sony has stated before that they are committed to making every previous PS2 and PS1 game compatible with the Playstation 3.

Ubisoft Announces Seven Wii Launch Titles

In a surprise move, Ubisoft recently announced their intention to release seven Nintendo Wii games at the console’s launch. This move shows Ubisoft’s commitment and confidence in the Wii console.
