The Japanese gaming magazine, Famitsu, has reported that Sim City 3000 is getting ported to the DS.

The DS version of the game will feature 3 modes - "Save the City", the standard "Build a New City", and "Sister City".

• Save the city puts you in the middle of a crisis. From floods to earthquakes, its up to you get the city fixed up again.
• Build a New City is classic Sim City, start-from-scratch gameplay.
• The final mode, Sister City, makes use of the DS Wi-fi, enabling players to swap landmarks and hopefully a lot more.

Unfortunately, the game is also going to feature a "city advisor", no doubt one of those little characters who’ll spring up to lend his advice in an irritatingly chirpy voice when all starts to go wrong. That’s getting turned off straight away.
