Electronic Arts are saying Will Wright’s Spore will be PC only for the time being. EA issued a statement on the matter following speculation that a Wii version was in the works.

“Right now we’re 100 percent focused on finishing SPORE on the PC and PC only,” EA said. “Though we’re investigating the possibilities of bringing the franchise to other platforms in the future, any announcements or confirmations for the Wii or any other platform would be premature.”

Considering the fact that Wright’s last game, The Sims, appeared on just about every platform available, don’t expect Spore to remain PC only for too long.
