The recent release in the UK of “Left Behind : Eternal Forces,” a real-time strategy game based on the apocalyptic novels of Tim LaHaye, has prompted calls for the game to be banned.

Based on the Book of Revelations and the religious doctrine of dispensationalism, the game pits players against the forces of the Antichrist, and requires them to convert others to Christianity, and to kill those who refuse to see the light.

A representative of The Muslim Association of Britain, whose comments were reported in The Times, called for people to boycott the game, saying it was “irresponsible and highly racist,” and that it “poisoned the minds of young people.”
