The Lost Eden expansion for sci-fi MMORPG Anarchy Online has been released. Funcom, the creators of the game, have indicated that they wanted to beef up the PvP experience in this expansion, as well as offer greater opportunities for players to confront the alien invasion forces.

Players should now be able to make use of new Mech units in PvP battles. In addition, officers will now be able to call in air strikes and orbital bombardments in Notum Wars contests.

Funcom has also said it wanted to open up the alien content to players who weren’t members of organisations. From now on, it will be possible to board the alien motherships and take the fight to them directly.

The expansion also features a wide range of new weapons and armour. It costs $29.95 (or the same amount in Euros) and is available as a digital download only.
