The BBC is reporting that Nintendo is issuing a recall order on all the Wii consoles which have been shipped worldwide. The company plans to replace the straps on the Wii game controllers after reports that some were breaking, or coming loose, and causing accidents.

It is believed that around 3 million of the game consoles are affected. Nintendo has not yet made any information available about how customers who have already purchased their Wiis can go about getting a replacement.
