Details on Oblivion Expansion

January 6th, 2007 by Cian | General

Some details of the forthcoming expansion for Bethesda Softwork’s Oblivion have leaked into the public domain. Although no official announcement has been made, some magazines are reporting that the expansion, called The Shivering Isles, will feature a new island for players to explore. The island will be divided into two halves, Mania and Dementia, linked by a town called Split which features two of every citizen. Some of the quests are said to involve investigating this strange phenomenon.
A whole new range of creatures and dungeons will also be included.

There is very little information about the practical aspects of the expansion. It is rumoured to have been pencilled in for the second quarter of 2007, but it is not yet known whether the add-on will be downloadable or only available at retail. Nor is it known whether the new content will be made available to Xbox 360 users, or PS3 owners when the PS3 version is released later in the year.
