Can’t say I’ve ever been able to take browser games seriously before but I came across one last week that held me spellbound for the half-day or so it took me to complete it. It’s called Bloons Tower Defense and it’s all done in Flash.

Check it out here . It’s very intuitive and compelling. Shame there are only 50 levels. I’d never come across a Tower Defense game before but apparently this is a whole little mini-genre of its own which derives from something in Warcraft 3. I somehow missed that at the time it came out but it’s nice to catch up at last.

There are quite a few other nice little Flash games on the Ninjawiki site too. I’ve checked out a few already and plan to explore more of them in the next few weeks.
