Halo 3 : Marathon Man

Having problems getting the Marathon Man achievement in Halo 3? Found all the terminals (Located on The Ark, The Covenant and Halo levels) and still not getting the points? I am not surprised as the given parameters for this achievement are rather vague or incomplete.
Not only do you have to find the terminals and access them, you need to read them all the way through, and stay on the terminal screen until each one gets hacked (text turns red and garbled, you know what I mean). Hope this helps, it was driving me mad for days.

do you have to complete the level once youv’e done that?
After the red screen/text, you must also wait until the terminal gets to a second set of pages of text. At that point, you can be sure you are done. You do not have to save the level or complete the game.
How many terminals are there for the ‘marathon man’ achievement, and were the blazes are they?
I’m having the same problem as odst syko. I am so stumped i have been threw the Ark and the Covenant 6 time already and accessed all the terminals and went threw them to the end and i still can’t get the achievement. My difficulty is set to normal should i set it on a higher difficulty? Whats going on here i’m getting sick of trying.
hey yeah you cant start the missions from a checkpoint, gotta do them from the beginning to the last terminal
Yup, but you dont have to complete the mission, you can save and quit, then go onto the next level with needed terminals…DId you get the terminal on the halo mission? i’d reccommend doing it on normal if you want to do it that little bit quicker
