Sure, the Quantaray Aluminium Carrying Case isn’t designed for the PSP (the reviewer found it in a digital camera shop), and it’s not exactly practical – but at $29, it’s the only way to go if you’re after the ultimate in PSP protection!

Turn out the lights with your PSP

LiquidIce from the ps2dev.org forums has posted photos of a custom controller page he’s created for his PSP. Accessing it from within the Wipeout Pure browser effectively turns it into a multifunctional remote, allowing him to control his DVD player, TIVO and HDTV (even turn out the lights) all wirelessly from the PSP.

Dead to Rights comes to PSP

Namco has announced Dead to Rights: Reckoning for the PSP, due for release sometime in May 2005. As well as new weapons and disarm moves, it will feature a wireless multiplayer deathmatch mode (but how will that work with Bullet Time?).

Use your PSP to carry Xbox Game Saves

The guys over at cq-ef.net have discovered that the PSP can be used to store Xbox game saves, using a standard USB keyboard adapter. We’re unsure why you’d want to do this, but the point is that it’s possible.

Access IRC from your PSP

Volksport has set up a script that allows the PSP access to IRC (through the hacked Wipeout Pure browser). Try it out at pspirc.com – but bear in mind at the moment it’s only possible to chat within the #PSPirc channel.
